JR AUTOMATION HOSTS GRAND RAPIDS GRIFFINS GAME

JR Automation is pleased to be presenting the Grand Rapids Griffins game on Friday, December 8th at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

JR Automation, a leading global systems integrator headquartered in Holland, Michigan will be joining the Grand Rapids Griffins for their “Salute To Heroes” night, honoring local military, police, fire and paramedic units throughout the game.

In addition to presenting the evening, JR Automation will also be demonstrating exciting new robotic technologies for fans during the games first intermission. JR’s engineers will bring a Universal UR-10 collaborative robot onto the ice which will use a t-shirt cannon to shoot customized JR shirts into the crowd. The collaborative robot will be mounted to a MiR100 automated-guided vehicle (AGV), moving from one end of the ice to the other, all controlled from the engineer’s mobile phone. 

JR Automation will also be displaying a two-armed, ABB YuMi collaborative robot near the north end of the concourse. This robot is designed to handle menial and redundant tasks allowing operators to focus on more difficult assembly operations. It is equipped with dual-servo grippers with vacuum and integrated vision cameras.
