JR Automation employees, customers, community partners, suppliers, and friends celebrated the opening of the company’s new facility in Liberty, South Carolina today with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony and luncheon. JR Automation Chairman & CEO Mike DuBose and JR CEO Bryan Jones spoke at the event, along with Ray Farley (Executive Director, Alliance Pickens) and Roy Costner (Chairman, Pickens County Council).
”We are very grateful to be a part of this vibrant community,” said JR’s CEO, Bryan Jones. “I think it is exceedingly impressive to see what’s going on in the local business community and school systems, and we are thankful to this community and to all our employees, customers, and partners for helping make this expansion possible.”
“I’m looking forward to the future. This won’t be our first expansion in Pickens County,” said JR Chairman and CEO Mike DuBose. “We’re already walking through the facility talking about what our growth plans are for this year and the following year, so I assure you, especially with this weather, we will be back soon for the next grand opening.”
“This building is a phenomenal candy store of technology,” said Ray Farley, Executive Director of Alliance Pickens. “It is unbelievable to see all the different technical solutions being developed here, and we are so pleased to have JR Automation in the Pickens County Commerce Park.”
“We are thrilled to welcome JR Automation into this community,” said Roy Costner, Chairman of the Pickens County Council. “JR Automation is heavily focused on teamwork and they understand the importance of working together to achieve success. We share the same philosophy here in Pickens County and we look forward to continuing this great partnership.”
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests enjoyed a tour of the new building, followed by lunch catered by Chef Lisa Dantzler and the Culinary Students of the Pickens County Technical and Career Center.
JR’s new facility expansion, announced in August 2016, will result in the creation of 56 new jobs in Pickens County over the course of a few years and represents a capital investment of $3.4 million.
