JR AUTOMATION AWARDS RECORD-BREAKING DONATION TO LOCAL NON-PROFITS

JR Automation employees have once again raised a record amount of money to donate to local non-profit organizations in West Michigan. Through a variety of fundraising events held throughout the year, ranging from fitness challenges and flower sales to chili cook-offs and softball tournaments, employees raised over $48,000 in 2016. JR provides a dollar-for-dollar corporate match, leading to a grand total of $97,534. This donation broke all company records and was distributed equally amongst ten local non-profit organizations, each receiving a gift of $9,753:

• Barnabas Ministries
• Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland
• Center for Women in Transition
• Children’s Advocacy Center
• Community Action House
• Compassionate Heart Ministry
• Holland Rescue Mission
• Hospice of Holland
• Kids’ Food Basket

All this fundraising in made possible by the JR Community Care Fund (JRCCF), an employee-led initiative that puts on the events. The JRCCF, which now involves over thirty JR employees, has matured into a self-sustaining operation that brings together hundreds of employees and benefits thousands of people in our community. “Through all the different events that happen, the JRCCF committee continues to do an amazing job of pulling our team together. What we’ve been able to accomplish as our company grows is incredible. We're thrilled to see the impact that this group has on our community,” said Bryan Jones, CEO at JR Automation.

Established by a small group of employees in 1997, the JRCCF was originally known as the Christmas Fund. It began as a way to support fellow employees experiencing hardship. As time went on, the Christmas Fund committee saw the fund as an opportunity to give back and support local non-profit organizations. Through the growth that JR Automation has experienced as a company, we have seen an exponential increase in the amount of funds we raise annually, as well as the number of employees who participate in the fundraising events.
