PHARMACEUTICAL AUTOMATION

Developing and testing drugs requires many processes, and often those processes are asynchronous or simultaneous. JR Automation has helped customers integrate automation in pharmaceutical manufacturing for drug creation, vaccine development, and drug processing systems in aseptic/sterile conditions for decades. For example, a large international customer needed a high-speed automated drug discovery system that accommodated various complex assembly processes. Our customer used robotics and vision to complete a cycle rate of 200,000 assays a day with accurate tracking.

MEDICAL DEVICES AUTOMATION

JR Automation specializes in the assembly of medical devices, diagnostic test and treatment devices, and applicable process systems such as glucose monitors, syringes, and contact lens packaging. One of our medical customers needed to quickly and easily punch holes in latex catheters the same size and shape every time. Our custom processing system achieved a cycle rate of two seconds, meeting quality and repeatability standards.

CASE STUDY

New System Significantly Increases Speeds While Handling Product More Gently

The customer was in need of a better system involving the transferring of bottles containing special patented fluid used in cancer drugs. JR's challenge was to design and build a new system that could operate without operator assistance and without damage to the bottles or the bottle contents. The bottles had to be transferred without any splashing of the liquid inside the bottle onto the cap. The Automated Roller Bottle System (ARBS) Transfer System moves bottles to and from two identical warm rooms at the customer’s facility
